The purpose of this micro-credential is to provide massage practitioners in New Zealand with an advanced deep tissue massage techniques course. It is also for current deep tissue massage practitioners who need a recognised award in deep tissue massage.

• Massage practitioners who need to be able to deliver deep tissue massage to expand their client base.

• Those already practising deep tissue massage who would benefit from a refresher, perhaps to reinvigorate their careers with training that will ensure their well-being.

• Anyone who enjoys doing massage therapy but needs a better understanding of essential health and safety requirements to deliver a deep tissue massage.

• Anyone who needs to add New Zealand (NZQA-approved) training to their skill set.

This is an advance course in Deep Tissue Massage techniques and assumes a certain amount of experience in Relaxation Massage.
